In the production process, some plastics such as polyene need surface treatment. The treated plastics can not only increase their hardness, but also improve their service life, surface finish, flatness and aesthetics. In general, there are chemical and physical methods for surface treatment of plastics; then chemical methods include chemical oxidation, drug treatment, solvent treatment, etc., and physical treatment includes corona treatment, flame treatment, etc.

There are many branches among the various methods. Take the treatment of thin film materials for example, there are three commonly used methods:

1、 Corona treatment. Through the high voltage charge discharge to the film surface, under the effect of ionization, the film surface coarsens, the surface energy increases, and the ability to combine with ink is increased to achieve the purpose of strengthening the ink layer firmness.

2、 Surface coating. The film surface is coated with a special coating before or during the process of making self-adhesive materials. The purpose is to improve the surface tension of the film and strengthen the binding ability of the film and ink.

3、 Printing processing. In order to increase the adhesion of ink to the film surface, the plastic film manufacturer uses special technology to modify the film surface characteristics by chemical methods

Therefore, the surface treatment process of plastics is relatively complex, without professional documents, it is difficult to learn for a while.
